- **Event Description**: We’re excited to introduce Art Proxima — a new (FREE) monthly meetup series from ACI Foundation focused on the issues, opportunities, and ideas shaping our local arts community. Topics will cover: Infrastructure, Advocacy, Fundraising & Business Planning.

Join us for our first session on Tues, April 14th at Haus of Owl, featuring David Boon, Commercial Real Estate Broker at William Wright Commercial, who will guide us through the essentials of commercial leasing.


We’ll kick things off at 6:00 PM with informal networking and Community Pulse — a chance for attendees to share a quick (60-second) intro, ask, or offer.

At 6:45 PM, David will demystify commercial leases, highlight common pitfalls, and share practical insights for navigating the process, followed by a Q&A.

From 8:00–9:00 PM, we’ll continue the conversation with more time to connect.


This session will be of particular interest to you if:

• Want to connect with others in the arts and culture community
• Currently lease — or are considering leasing — commercial space
• Are curious about how commercial leasing differs from residential
• You are excited about opportunities to hear about what other arts and community organizations are working on, and identify opportunities to collaborate


The event will take place in the Dream Lounge at Haus of Owl, located on the 4th floor of 780 Blanshard Street. The main entrance is at the corner of Burdett and Blanshard. Accessible washrooms are available on the 2nd floor, and the building is equipped with an elevator.


Art Proxima is as an ongoing series for connection, learning, and shared momentum across the arts and community sector — and we hope to see you there.
